The Road to Sioux Falls

The trip started this morning on a sad but happy note. friends and family came to see us off, as LG prepared to give her sermon for a UU congregation. we had to play multiple games of Tetris to load everything in davita's car. some things were left, and somethings were given away, but everything that made it in the cars is exactly what we need.

The drive was long, but beautiful. we made it all the way to Tomah WI before having to take a break or switch drivers.

 once we got through La Crosse, it was the same scenery, large skies and corn and cattle. Adam drive his longest, and Kevin and Davita dusted Adam and davitas car, so much so that they thought a small white car with 2 white people were Adam and I. it was an Adventure.

Overall, it was a beautiful first day filled with lots of conversation, laughs, and for my car, which has no air conditioning, it was just right. Adam and i also listened to Game of Thrones Book 5 and that is AMAZING! 

when we got to Sioux Falls, we checked into our hotel and had some dinner. we are excited about tomorrow. we will get a chance to see some national Monuments, and some awesome sights along the way to Rapid City.
